POLICIES

When you ("Client") hire Positive Touch Dog Care/Shari Bradbury, you are agreeing to the following policies:

Client Responsibilities

Client agrees that successful dog training largely depends on follow-through by the Client. Consistency over perfection, but there must be repeated consistency by the Client for long lasting behavior change to occur and last. Positive Touch Dog Care will provide education to our Clients and their dog/s that will lead to successful training and behavior improvements, but the degree and speed of progress is individual to each dog and family (Client) and cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellations

If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, cancellation must be received at least 24 hours in advance or Client will be billed for the full amount of the session.

Illness

Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware you may have a contagious or infectious condition out of courtesy to your practitioner, Shari Bradbury, and other clients. This also applies to your dog having a condition that could affect other dogs. When it comes to illness, please err on the side of caution. Client agrees that Shari Bradbury and Positive Touch Dog Care are not responsbile or liable for any illness that Client's dog may contract while receiving services.

Photography Permission and Release.

Shari Bradbury and Positive Touch Dog Care may photograph, videotape, and record your dog/s during time spent with them. Client gives permission for said photographs to be used and published in all types of media, both online and in print. Photographs may be used in marketing the services of Positive Touch Dog Care and may also be used, displayed, and sold in exhibits or printed material, including books. Photographs may be sold to third parties as an art object with no compensation due to Client. In hiring Positive Touch Dog Care and Shari Bradbury, you consent to your dog/s being photographed for these purposes. Every effort will be made to protect your privacy and not include things in the background that would identify your personal location or name.

Client's Guarantee

Client hereby represents and guarantees that the dog being presented to Shari Bradbury and Positive Touch Dog Care to receive services belongs to Client and Client has the full right and authorization to agree to these Policies, and that Client has given true, accurate, and full information to Shari Bradbury regarding their dog. Client agrees that Shari Bradbury and Positive Touch Dog Care is not responsible or liable for any claims arising out of or related to misrepresentations by Client.

Emergencies

If your pet needs emergency veterinary care, they will be transported either to your veterinarian or to the closest available Animal Emergency Clinic. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact you for permission and instruction regarding medical care. However, if urgent/emergency care is needed, your dog will be transported and you will be contacted as quickly as possible after arrival at the veterinarian or emergency clinic. Client hereby agrees and gives permission to Shari Bradbury and Positive Touch Dog Care to transport their dog to and from any authorized veterinarian, and to seek and obtain medical care. Client gives full authority to Shari Bradbury, Positive Touch Dog Care, and the attending veterinarian to make decisions involving medical treatment and agrees to pay for all related costs. Client agrees that Shari Bradbury and Positive Touch Dog Care shall not be held responsible should the unlikely event of complications, injury, or death occur.

Leash Policies

When your dog is in my care, they will be walked on leash for everyone's safety. Shari Bradbury and Positive Touch Dog Care reserve the right to use our leashes including Gentle Leader harnesses. We do not use prong collars as we have found that the Gentle Leader provides better control while being much gentler to the dog. We may also use also use Wonder Dog harnesses for their ease of use, along with other leashes we use that have proven to work well with dogs of all sizes.

Risks

Client understands there are inherent risks and hazards with and around dogs and Client accepts all potential risks. Client is aware that any dog is capable of biting, regardless of training or environment or handling and Client assumes all liability associated with these risks. Should Client's dog bite or injure Shari Bradbury/Positive Touch Dog Care, Client is responsible for any and all medical care needed to reach complete recovery, physically and psychologically.

Dispute Resolution

Both parties, the Client and Shari Bradbury/Positive Touch Dog Care irrevocably waive any and all right to a trial by jury in any legal proceeding related to our mutual agreement to these Policies. Any claims shall be submitted to mediation and, if necessary, go to binding arbitration by a panel of three arbitrators, one selected by Shari Bradbury/Positive Touch Dog Care, one selected by Client, and a third selected by the two appointed arbitrators. Both parties agree to be responsible for their own costs related to mediation or arbitration.
